ABOUT ME
In 2010 I started drawing again, after many years of complete disconnect from it, learning everything from scratch, and I decided to "employ" my “artistic” point of view by freelancing illustrations and caricatures.
Currently i use only open-source software, as follows:
KRITA
is a raster graphics editor based on the KDE Platform that i use as default on my Linux box. It works well on MacOSX too and has a very friendly interface for digital art, is very responsive and the eight brush engines make configurations of them limitless.
GIMP
is ideal for advanced photo retouching techniques, a great alternative for a free/opensource application. I use it mostly for creating backgrounds and preparing my templates.
MyPAINT
is a fast and easy open-source graphics application for digital painters. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it. I usit as primary sketching application.
BLENDER
free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.
INKSCAPE
a free and open-source vector graphics editor; it can be used to create or edit vector graphics such as illustrations, diagrams, line arts, charts, logos and complex paintings.
Manjaro Linux
a user-friendly Linux distribution based on the independently developed Arch operating system. It became my main OS and i will never look back to other distros, nor the well known commercial operating systems.
